Red Onion Post-Harvest Process
Red Onion Post-Harvest Process
November 2025 Wednesday
Post-harvest is where quality is protected—or lost. That's why our red onion process is designed for preservation, precision, and performance.
Immediately after harvesting, onions undergo a controlled curing process—air-dried under optimal conditions to reduce surface moisture, preventing mold and extending shelf life naturally.
Once cured, each onion is mechanically cleaned to remove residual soil, followed by a thorough sorting and grading phase. Bulbs are evaluated based on size, firmness, and visual quality to ensure only the top-grade onions enter our market and export supply chain.
This post-harvest treatment not only protects quality—it improves storage durability, reduces spoilage, and ensures our clients receive consistently excellent produce, batch after batch.
